光明的正学要求努力践行，
湖湘学派的传统一直延续到今天。
要善于运用翻转愚昧之岛的犀利文笔，
并细致体察濂溪先生理学思想的精髓。
在两条河水清澈的秋日，庄严的祭奠典礼举行；
靠近九疑山的云雾，让人想起上古的韶乐。
吟咏着归来，也觉得西风舒畅，
必须相信诗歌的真意就在这学宫的林木之中。

The bright true learning demands earnest practice;
From the lakes of Hunan its lineage reaches to this day.
One should wield the sharp pen that overturns Fool's Isle;
And closely examine the heart's cave where reason lies.
By the two rivers' clear autumn, solemn rites are held;
Near the Nine-Doubt Mountain's clouds, I fancy Shao's old music.
Chanting on return, I feel the west wind is good;
Believe that poetry's essence dwells in the school's grove.
