生长在五行中火德当旺的时节。
渡过淮河便嫌弃橘子会变味，
经过大庾岭则笑梅花早已衰败。
它不与百花争奇斗艳，
残春的黄莺啊，莫要依傍它的枝头。

It's for the love of a wondrous fruit.
Its spirit draws the south's finest essence,
Born in the season when fire rules supreme.
Crossing the Huai, it scorns the orange's change,
Passing through Yu, it laughs at the plum's decline.
It does not vie with flowers for splendor;
Lingering orioles, do not cling to its boughs.
