梅雨知晓时节而降临，
农家是多么的欢喜。
堆积柴薪，蚕儿在蚕箔下安歇；
锄理水田，将稻秧分株插植。
绿色的是笋，已长成竹子；
黄色的小麦没有因虫害而损毁。
整个春天都曾饱尝苦旱，
这三日的雨水并不算多。

The timely rain knows the season's turn,
How great the farmers' joy, one can discern.
Firewood's piled high, silkworms rest on their trays;
Rice fields are hoed, seedlings set in new arrays.
Green bamboo shoots now into canes will grow,
No yellow wheat turns moth, laid waste by foe.
All spring we've suffered bitter drought's cruel reign,
Three days of rain are not too much to gain.
