云气翻腾，如同车盖在天空滚动，
天河之水倾注到屋瓦的沟槽之中。
滂沱大雨接连下了三日，
滋润万物，成就一年的秋收。
干旱的烈火被一扫而空，了无痕迹，
狂怒的雷声轰鸣，似乎不愿停息。
我这迂腐的儒生只求能吃饱一餐，
唯恐到了年底，会在悠闲中虚度时光。

The Milky Way pours into the tiled gutters' bed.
For three days the torrential rain has not ceased,
Nourishing the autumn harvest, a year's feast.
The drought's fierce blaze is swept away without trace,
The furious thunder roars, refusing to leave its place.
A pedant scholar seeks but a single full meal,
Lest the year's end finds him in idle ease, unreal.
