它那如飞鸣的姿态想要朝向何方？
那艳丽妖娆的姿态足以自我夸耀。
在偏僻之地栽种出红色的锦缎，
仿佛遥远的天空坠落的彩霞。
宫门之前多的是戴着红色头巾的官员，
这花也分了一些给乡野人家。

The cockscomb flower blooms early and high.
Where would its crowing flight intend to go?
Its gaudy beauty boasts itself for show.
In a remote spot, crimson brocade is sown,
Like colored clouds fallen from the heavens down.
At the Golden Gate, many crimson caps are worn,
Some are shared with the rustic folk, forlorn.
