Hard to be taught to seek for gain.
Farming is prized, the cottage harvest done,
Worldly affairs are fewer, a quiet life begun.
The ancient rock bears leaves like flag and spear,

The east wind knows the joy here to be found,
As willow catkins dance on the newly cleared ground.
