处理繁剧的政务，我惭愧于自己的心计；
为承顺君王的欢颜，我曾想远游他方。
时下的风气本就轻视外放的官员；
幸赖天意，让我再度莅临此州治理。
清晨，寒霜笼罩的馆舍中残梨稀疏；
秋风里的淮水，桂花已透出秋意。
公务繁忙，诗情便随之减退；
我首先愧对的是谢朓曾登临的北楼。

Managing complex affairs, I'm ashamed of my schemes;
To please my lord, I thought of travels far and wide.
The times' mood naturally slights those beyond the streams;
By heaven's grace, I'm back to govern here with pride.
At dawn, frosty inn sees pears withering, sparse and old;
On breezy Huai, cassias hint autumn's tale untold.
Official duties tire, poetic thoughts grow thin;
First I feel shame before the Tower of Master Xie.
