众山争相比高,遮蔽了日月;
坟墓中藏着遗恨,索求着那截断指;
屋宇承自隋唐,十分稳固相称;
不要让风雨在松树梢头肆虐横行;
Tiger Hill's name has lasted two thousand years,
Yet Tiger Hill itself appears so faint and low.
All mountains vie in height, eclipsing sun and moon;
I smile at this fist-sized rock buried in flat fields.
Though this small mound might seem a strange anomaly,
It splits the shaded cliff, hanging sheer ten fathoms high.
Within the tomb, a grievance seeks the severed finger;
Upon the pavilion, silence conveys withered Zen.
It's Wu folk, especially, who love hills with such haste,
Dividing sides and angles, boasting as they lean.
The halls, from Sui and Tang, stand firm and well-proportioned;
Ink inscriptions of Xining and Yuanfeng still seem fresh.
Do not let wind and rain rage through the pine tips;
The stone basin gathers moss, its surface turning rough.
Spring after spring, the people of Wu come to visit,
Their feet calloused, stumbling on the layered peak, they ought to weep.
