自得之乐原本就无关世俗的趣味，
悠然自适，已将尘世全然遗忘。
一声欸乃的船桨声从远处传来，
我的一叶孤舟正漂荡在沧浪水上。
云散开了，暮色天空一片碧蓝，
江水清澈，牵动着悠长的秋思。
我想用湘竹笛声来应和这景致，
但它的野调无法协和宫商的音律。

Contentment, from the start, holds no worldly delight;
Serene, I am forgotten by the world outright.
A creaking sound of oars comes from afar alone;
My solitary boat floats on the waters prone.
Clouds break, the evening sky reveals its azure hue;
The clear river prolongs my autumn thoughts anew.
I wish to match the tune with my Xiang bamboo flute,
But its rustic airs with courtly scales won't suit.
