只有影子与自身相伴，
既无琴声，也无鹤影在旁。
吃饭时只有三样素菜，
香炉旁放着一函书卷。
与僧家住处不同之处在于，
还有几缕头发未曾剃去。

It seems almost like a monk's cell in the gloom.
My shadow is my sole companion here.
No zither, no crane, nothing to endear.
At mealtime, just three kinds of simple fare.

A few tufts of hair, where a shaven pate should be in view.
