Fragrant orchids flourish in nine fields,
Weeds and mugwort also grow beside.
The majestic phoenix soars over Cinnabar Hill,
Yet owls and kites still wing to wing fly.
Elegant lutes sing the 'South Wind' song,
Frogs' croaks leave no room for rest.
The Black Pearl charms the clear stream,
But fish eyes glare with piercing light.
Fragrant herbs and stinkweeds share no vessel,
Cloud and soil are worlds apart by nature.
Aggressive, they come pressing close,
Buzzing, they settle on thorny bushes.
Rising from butchers and wine-sellers,
Their hearts aspire to be tyrants and thieves.
Heaven's form they seek to maim and ruin,
By official posts they've been rejected.
Fierce rams keep far from the butcher's block,
Cunning horses shake off bit and bridle.
Hearts deep as ravines, perilous,
Evil piled high as hills and mounds.
Heaven's hearing is inherently keen,
The divine way is especially upright.
They should be used to ward off demons,
How can they be allowed to become specters?
Throat pierced by Lu Yang's spear,
Neck hooked by Ziyun's halberd.
Flesh tossed on hungry tigers' path,
Corpses cast to the farthest north.
Hungry eagles whet their beaks to peck,
Yayu monsters grind their teeth to feed.
Souls imprisoned in Fengdu's depths,
Fat and blood smeared on barren deserts.
Uproot weeds, sever their very base,
Lance abscesses, freely apply needle and stone.
Where they dwell must be turned to filthy pools,
Their offspring all excised and cleared.
The chief villains already annihilated,
Their kind tremble all the more in fear.
Tares and darnel once weeded out,
Good seedlings gradually thrive and spread.
The noble man better knows his fate,
Treading his path as in times past.
Petty men vie to change their tune,
Perishing in a fleeting moment.
All Yao's people could be enfeoffed,
Tang's net is from this moment loosened.
Forever ascending to longevity's realm,
Together we reach the land of Hua Xu.
