你居住在武夷山乡，
思念归乡便急忙整理行装。
溪中鱼鳞细密如丝缕，
园里茶树嫩芽带着露水的清香。
科考屡次失利令人悲叹，
钱财困窘仅剩囊中一点。
长长的帽缨沾满尘土，
且待将来在沧浪之水中洗净尘颜。

You dwell in the land of Wuyi, my friend,
And think of home, so you pack in haste.
The stream fish scales are fine as silk thread,
Garden tea buds are fragrant with dew's taste.
Thrice failing exams, thunder-fire brings grief;
A single purse of coins brings no relief.
Your long tassel is covered with dust and grime,
Awaiting the day to wash in waves of time.
