山坞深处藏着吠叫的狗，
林木稀疏间露出了人家。
石上急流中的鱼格外鲜美，
邻近村庄的酒容易赊欠。
想来只因这里云水丰足，
自然就是我理想的生活。

A winding shore leads to a secluded path,
A sparse fence casts its shadow on slanting bamboos.
Deep in the dale, a barking dog is hidden;
Through the sparse woods, a household is revealed.
The fish in the rocky shallows are especially fine,
And wine from the neighboring village is easily bought on credit.
It must be that clouds and waters here are abundant—
This, truly, is the life for me.
