I've heard the inner elixir is unseen,
It refines itself without toil, serene.
How many autumns since the age of Fuxi?
Countless cycles, beyond what eyes can see.
To this day, flowing light surges day and night,
The golden crow shines on the Moon Palace bright.
Its scattered rays adorn the azure sky,
Like dense or sparse pearls and jade splashing high.
Ethereal essence soars in the great void,
Floating, curling, in forms manifold.
Dawn scenes reflect a green that trails in blue,
Evening's brocade congeals in crimson hue.
At times a thunderous roar shakes the dim haze,
At times a gleaming thread in flight arrays.
At times a clear moistness drips icy strings,
At times in haste dance jade-flower wings.
Here, beauty forms mountains and streams,
Dense woods, birds, insects, fish in ordered gleams.
Dragons soar, phoenixes sing, treasures arise,
The nurturing mist breeds auspice, talents wise.
At Siming's foot, by Yin's winding shore,
Spirit nurtured, harmony holds blessings four.
Within, two streams of radiant light shine clear,
Inner void, outer response, all bright and near.
Able to hear, to speak, to come and go.
Bending, stretching, natural wonders show,
Unaware of hands dancing, feet in flow.
Twenty years ago it suddenly did shift,
Passed west of Cichuan, Tianbao's lofty rift.
Green peaks winding deep in mist and glow,
Who knows the course of change, where it may go?
Stone Fish Tower low in clouds does lie,
In recent years I've dwelled there passing by.
Riding the wind, twice crossed Zhe River's tide,
Then sought the return path where peach blooms hide.
Deep in Peach Blossom Spring, none knows the place,
Though passed again, it veils its face.
Heaven hides this elixir, truth to tell,
Only childlike visage shows it well.
A momentary word reveals a part,
To those who know, it soon departs.
