我的车从前涂好油脂准备出发，
柳叶初生，鲜嫩润泽。
等到归来卸下驾车的马匹，
柳叶已半黄凋落。
恍惚间仅仅像一场梦，
却已耗费了十个月的时光。
大概只因客居他乡而衰老，
迷惘惆怅，自己竟未察觉。

My carriage once was greased and ready to go,
Willow leaves were fresh and newly washed by dew.
Upon return, I freed the travel-worn steed,
Willow leaves had turned half yellow and did recede.
It seems but a dream, fleeting and brief,
Yet ten full months have passed in disbelief.
Perhaps growing old as a wanderer is my fate,
Lost in thought, unaware, till it is too late.
