淮海地区的棠梨花荫下，军队已经开拔启程，
将军却转移他的小队人马，进入了襄阳城。
江山景象依然带着征战沙场的兵马气息，
书斋阁楼中，却骤然闻到了书卷编简的清香。
自古以来，他的声名就传遍了梁楚之地，
他施政的才能，向来都超过了龚遂与黄霸这样的能吏。
他的风采格调，比那位山简公还要高超，
根本不需要举起马鞭，去询问葛彊该走哪条道。

Yet the general shifts his small command to Xiangyang's source.
The rivers and hills still bear the aura of the warhorse's might,

His governance has ever surpassed Gong Sui and Huang Bu.
