园中的花都是亲手栽种的，
唯独梅花的花萼能禁受严寒。
它的色泽与香气珍贵无价，
飘飞时与雪花团簇在一起。
几枝梅枝横斜在翠竹之间，
一夜之间便萦绕在朱红栏杆旁。
我不吝惜吟诗时的辛苦，
要把这景象收聚到诗句里观赏。

All flowers in the garden were planted by my hand;
Only the mume buds endure the cold, steadfast they stand.
Their color and fragrance are beyond any price;
They fly and with the snowflakes form clusters of white ice.
A few branches stretch across the emerald bamboo;
Overnight they wind around the vermilion rails, too.
I spare no pains to chant verses, though hard it be;
I'll gather them in lines for my delight to see.
