郁结的湿气润泽了山间的厅堂，
回旋的风使竹林小径变得阴凉。
人们称赞这三四点雨滴，
争相说道这即刻就是甘霖。

Though the wheat ears have dried and withered,
The rice shoots have yet to show their hearts.
We long for clouds to spill their ink,
And fear the sun will pour its molten gold.
The air, thick and sullen, moistens the mountain hall;
The wind, turning back, cools the bamboo-shaded path.
A few drops are praised as a blessing,
And we argue that this is the timely rain.
