它们成行飞越烧荒的断地，
一同觅食，混杂在鸥鸟的行列中。
沙洲上没有弓箭和罗网，
整夜相互呼唤，鸣叫不停。

Now autumn comes, they journey south again.
They shun the snow at Yan Pass, cold and stern;
They greet the sunlit Xiang River, warm and plain.
In broken lines, they cross the scorched earth's trace;

No snares or arrows on the sandy place;
All night they call to one another's strain.
