八角亭中，天空澄澈如水，
七言诗城里，夜色正深未央。
主人在贤材馆中解榻相迎，
门客们避开厅堂，分睡上下床铺。
万籁俱寂时，星辰历历分明，
泉水涓涓流淌处，山色苍苍茫茫。
主人与门客皆举杯吟咏，
唯我手持羽扇、头戴纶巾，独自焚着篆香。

In the Octagonal Pavilion, the sky is like water,
Within the city of seven-word lines, the night is endless.
The host prepares couches in the Hall of Worthy Talents,
Guests avoid the hall, some take upper or lower beds.
When all sounds cease, stars appear clear and bright,
Where springs trickle softly, mountains loom dark and vast.
Both host and guests raise cups to chant their verses,
Alone with a feather fan and silk scarf, I tend the seal incense.
