京城的三月已将尽，
客居的游子何时才能归去？
山离得近，鸟儿栖息得早，
花儿凋残，来赏玩购买的人也稀少了。
尽管湖水依然浩渺丰盈，
又有谁会同我一起在此洗涤沾满尘土的衣衫呢？

On the dyke, willow branches sway with tender grace,
The willow wind blows, sending catkins flying free.
The capital's third month now draws to its very end,
When will this wandering son return to his own home?
Mountains are near, so birds retire to roost quite early,
Flowers fade, and few now come to buy or to admire.
Though the lake's waters remain plentiful and vast,
Who will join me to wash my dust-laden garments here?
