淮河的水极为清澈明净，
其中也有沙洲与小渚。
一只大雁自己安然栖息，
一只鸿鹄遥望着江水出神。

Yet you don't dwell here by my side.
Like geese and swans in graceful flight,
Alas, we part and take our separate flight.
The Huai River's waters, clear and pure,
Hold islets and sandbars, calm and sure.

One goose gazes at the river, with a wistful will.
