一日逢王造，千年与客游。

yī rì féng wáng zào， qiān nián yǔ kè yóu。

ㄧㄖˋ ㄈㄥˊ ㄨㄤˊ ㄗㄠˋ，ㄑㄧㄢㄋㄧㄢˊ ㄩˇ ㄎㄜˋ ㄧㄡˊ。

云边梅岭出，坐上赣江流。

yún biān méi lǐng chū， zuò shàng gàn jiāng liú。

日落回飞鸟，烟深失钓舟。

rì luò huí fēi niǎo， yān shēn shī diào zhōu。

一日得遇滕王建造此阁，

千年以来与四方宾客同游。

云边梅岭的山势巍然显现，

坐席旁赣江的流水悠悠。

日落时分飞鸟盘旋归巢，

暮烟深处垂钓的小舟隐没。

蝉鸣声从枯柳外传来，

天地间晚风萧瑟已是深秋。

One day I met the prince who built this tower;

For a thousand years guests have roamed this place.

Beyond the clouds, Plum Ridge begins to tower;

Upon my seat, the Gan River flows apace.

The sun sets, birds fly back across the sky;

In deepening mist, the fishing boats are lost.

Cicadas' chirps from withered willows cry;

Heaven and earth in autumn's evening breeze are crossed.
