杰阁侵霄汉，宸章焕壁奎。

jié gé qīn xiāo hàn， chén zhāng huàn bì kuí。

高耸的楼阁直插云霄与银河；

皇帝御笔题写的字使壁上的星宿图案熠熠生辉。

宫廷内苑颁赐下珍贵的宴席；

宫中使者揭开了美玉匾额上的题字。

信誓如山河般坚固不移；

皇恩如雨露般低垂润泽。

我这寒微的儒生倚靠着天赐的禄位，

极目远望那五色祥云飘去的西边。

A lofty pavilion pierces the sky and Milky Way;

The imperial script makes the wall's constellations bright.

A precious feast bestowed from the inner court's array;

The palace envoy unveils the jade tablet's light.

Our pledge is firm as mountains and rivers stand;

Imperial favor, like rain and dew, descends low.

A poor scholar leans on Heaven's bounty at hand,

Gazing afar where five-colored clouds westward go.
