为了守卫京师，我结交豪侠之士，
抛弃家园，来到南斗星旁的边陲。
我们彼此相望，各自意气风发，
立志要攻取辽阳，凯旋而归。
事情不顺，我便脱身离去，
并非心中没有追求的作为。
家中藏匿着楚王的后裔，
手中统领着五陵的年轻子弟。
我流着泪奉行先主的遗令，
向着天空挥动白色的旗帜。
鞭打仇敌的尸体，仇恨必须报复，
将首级装入函中，捷报终将飞驰。
力量用尽，志向却未能实现，
我以死来告谢渐离（般的忠烈）。

To guard the capital, I gathered comrades bold,
And left my home by the Southern Dipper's hold.
We looked at each other, our spirits high and free,
Determined to seize Liaoyang and set it free.
When plans went awry, I fled to save my skin,
Not that I had no purpose burning within.
At home, I hid a prince of Chu's royal line,
And led the young nobles, their fate to intertwine.
Tears fell as I received my late lord's command,
Waving a white banner toward heaven, hand in hand.
To whip the corpse of a foe, vengeance must be paid,
With the enemy's head sent off, our triumph displayed.
Our strength exhausted, our ambition unmet,
I choose death, like Jian Li, with no regret.
