雨意阴沉，连日不散，
秋色淡远，弥漫整条溪流。
溪水穿过平野，截断了原野的延续，
云层遮断远山，使山势显得低矮。
旅途上，无论早晚都令人畏惧，
村中的集市，从清晨到傍晚都井然有序。
听说此地已接近湖北，
渐渐欣喜于即将离开江西地界。

The rain's intent, overcast for days on end,
Autumn's visage, pale, suffuses the whole stream.
The water cuts through the plain, breaking its course,
Clouds sever distant mountains, making them low.
The traveler's road, dawn and dusk, fills me with dread,
Village markets, from morn till eve, are orderly.
Word has it we're near the north of the lake—
Gradually I rejoice to leave Jiangxi behind.
