倚着手杖，徒然地凝神伫立；
出仕与退隐的抉择，终究未能实现。

As year draws to its close, I climb the town wall, forced.
Passing wild geese bring no letters, hard to inquire;
At a dead end, my tears are about to pour down.
Rivers and lakes: a wanderer's dream of return;
Plum and willow trees: old feelings for my homeland.
Leaning on my staff, I gaze in vain, standing still;
My course of action, in the end, cannot be settled.
