不惮驱驰半驿间，劝耕聊复到禅关。

bú dàn qū chí bàn yì jiān， quàn gēng liáo fù dào chán guān。

耳根暗泻潺潺水，眼界横陈叠叠山。

白话文翻译

我不畏惧驱马半驿的遥远路途，

为劝勉农耕，顺便又来到这禅院的门前。

耳畔隐约流淌着潺潺的溪水声，

眼前横亘着一重又一重的连绵山峦。

我已欣喜于近来春耕农事的美好，

却仍感叹年老后人生路途的艰难。

幸而与洪崖君心意相投、彼此契合，

从今往后，何妨时常往来相见呢？

Not fearing the long ride halfway to the post station,

I come to urge the plowing, and by chance, to the temple gate.

My ears are secretly washed by the murmuring stream,

My eyes take in the range upon range of mountains in a sweep.

I rejoice that spring affairs are thriving anew,

Yet sigh that old age brings hardship on life's rough road.

Fortunate that with Hongya my heart finds accord,

Henceforth, why should we not meet and part as we may?
