晴日下的滩涂，五彩的石子凌乱散布，
被高涨的春水激荡冲击。
谁说溴水河道宽广宏大？
它竟容不下小小的鲂鱼和鱽鱼。
面对流水，我自然缩回手，
想要涉水而过，恐怕只是徒劳。

The northern mountain stream flows murmuring by,
And winds around the southern city's high ground.
Sunlit shoals with patterned stones in chaos lie,
Struck by spring torrents rushing with roaring sound.
Who says the Ju River is broad and grand?
It cannot hold the bream, however small.
By the flowing water I shrink my hand,
To wade across would be in vain, after all.
