美好的时节初生翠绿的嫩芽，
长久以来托身于金色池塘的根基。
怎能忍受与萧艾杂草混杂一处，
自然应当与兰荪香草相比并。
碧色映照着龙池的清水，
青色迷醉了楚泽的魂灵。
年年增添怨恨的地方，
正是长信宫与长门宫。

The tender shoots first sprout in emerald hue,
Long have their roots clung to the golden pond's bed.
How can they mingle with weeds, coarse and untrue?
They're fit to stand with fragrant orchids instead.
Their jade reflects the water of Dragon Pool;
Their green bewitches souls of Chu's marshland dream.
Each year, the place where sorrows thicker fuel,
Is the Longxin and Changmen, by grief extreme.
