官署在白昼里沉寂无声，
傍晚的烟云聚拢，化作阴霾。
琴室临近清澈的冰池，显得洁净；
书阁深处，火炉正燃着微光。
默然静坐，自能心有所得；
悠闲漫步，又有谁能相伴寻访？
还是应当登上那高高的楼阁，
去眺望积雪覆盖的千重山峦。

The official lodge sinks in the day's deep hush,
Evening clouds gather, thickening into shade.
By the clear icy pond, the lute-room's pure;
In the study tower, the stove-fire's glow is laid.
In silent sitting, one finds a gain within;
Who can be met in idle wandering's tread?
I should still climb to the high balcony then,
To watch the snow on a thousand peaks spread.
