唉!汉武帝拥有天下之后,
却一心向往神仙,希望羽化登仙。
建造起五十多丈高的楼台宫观,
车驾巡游了万八千里的路途。
安期生、羡门高等仙人究竟在哪里呢?终究无处可寻。
方士栾大(封五利将军)、文成将军(少翁)最终也因欺诈而被处死。
如果不是他还留意并提倡文学经术,
那么他的荒唐程度,恐怕连秦始皇都要比他贤明一些了。
Alas! When Emperor Wu ruled the land,
He craved to be an immortal, to join the feathered race.
He raised towers and pavilions, fifty zhang high,
And drove his chariots across eighteen thousand li.
Where are Anqi and Xianmen now? They are nowhere to be found.
The sorcerers Li Shaojun and Luan Da ended in deceit and death.
Had he not also paid some heed to letters and learning,
Even the First Emperor would have surpassed him in folly.
帝王求仙是对权力周期与生命认知的根本性错位。
借评说汉武帝求仙之事,讽刺帝王沉迷方术、忽视政事的荒唐。
本诗为七言古诗,押平声韵。
