勋华相授受,谟典所具述。

这是夏商周三代共同遵守的准则,百世也不可改易。
春秋霸主假借仁义之名,战国时代崇尚诈术与武力。
汉唐并非没有君主,但文治往往流于矫饰。
那些能粹然成就王道的,一点也不能屈折。
所以后世没有良善的治绩,因循沿袭直至今日。
纯粹真诚而不混杂,唯有帝王能确立这至高准则。
收敛与施恩赐福于百姓,勉力建立昭示大德。
治国想要如同往古一般,舍此之外别无他术。
Yao and Shun passed the rule, the sagely way they told;
The canons and the plans their doctrines did unfold.
The essence lies within the Mean, the central course;
Refined, unified, and held with steadfast force.
Only sincerity can bring refinement true;
Only sincerity can make the one shine through.
Thus there's no faction bias, no partiality;
Thus uprightness and fairness reach their purity.
The Three Dynasties all held fast to this same creed;
For a hundred ages, it's an unchanging need.
The Hegemons but borrowed righteousness as guise;
The Warring States prized cunning force and crafty lies.
Han and Tang had rulers, none can say they did not;
Yet culture served as ornament, a polished blot.
Those who could rule as pure Kings, in virtue complete,
Not a single finger could be forced to retreat.
Hence there's been no good governance, the reason why—
Following old ways has lasted till today nigh.
Pure sincerity, untainted by alloy—
Only the Emperor can this supreme pole deploy.
Gather and spread blessings to the common folk's hand;
Strive to establish clearly virtue great and grand.
If governance desires to match the ancient past,
Apart from this, no other method can long last.
