百丈苍岩入杳冥，高低气象本天成。

bǎi zhàng cāng yán rù yǎo míng， gāo dī qì xiàng běn tiān chéng。

藤蟠翠壁龙蛇动，涧泻断崖风雨声。

téng pán cuì bì lóng shé dòng， jiàn xiè duàn yá fēng yǔ shēng。

不许画工为润色，祇应诗伯长余情。

白话文翻译

百丈高的苍黑山岩深入幽暗的远方，

高高低低的景象本就是天然生成。

藤蔓盘绕在青翠的岩壁上，如龙蛇般蠕动，

溪涧从断崖倾泻而下，发出风雨般的声响。

不需要画工来加以修饰润色，

只应有诗人的悠长情思与之相配。

栖息的乌鸦留下凌乱如墨迹的痕迹，题写在僧房墙壁，

我的车马何时才能再次踏上这旅程？

A hundred-fathom dark cliff delves into the dim unknown,

Its lofty and lowly vistas are by nature's hand alone.

Vines coil on emerald walls like serpents in slow motion,

The gorge pours down the broken bluff with wind-and-rain commotion.

No painter's touch is needed to embellish this grand view,

Only the poet's lingering passion can make it new.

Crows roost, their random ink-like traces mark the monk's abode,

When shall my carriage and horse return to tread this road?
