何曾见到兵符奔走传递，
只听闻进贡的大象返回。
从此与徐𪟝相比，
便不能获得冢前山的荣耀。

On the frontier, colts and calves graze the grass,
The border town's gates stay open through the night.
Valiant soldiers still hold rites in their hearts,
While aged generals fade in idleness, out of sight.
Who sees the military tallies rush about?
Only news of tribute elephants returning is heard.
Henceforth, compared to Xu Ji's steadfast route,
They'll not gain burial mounds before the mountains, assured.
