莫说蜈蚣怜悯鳖行动迟缓，
终究是喜鹊躲避鸠鸟的争夺。
破晓时分，跛驴踏过沾露的花朵；
孤雁飞越秋日如云的稻田。
想象那招魂的哀曲响起时，
人人都在谈论着少游的名字。

Man's oddness finds its match in Heaven's norm;
The world is narrow, but I'm often free.
They say the centipede pities the turtle's form,
Yet magpie flees from dove, as all can see.
At dawn, a lame donkey treads on dew-kissed flowers;
A lone wild goose flies over autumn's rice-cloud showers.
I think of the soul-summoning song they sing,
Where everyone speaks of Shaoyou, remembering.
