为人处世，功名利禄不可急躁求取；
认清时势、随机应变的关键在于防范危险。
吉凶祸福自有定数，正如曾参深研《易经》所悟；
胜败输赢不存于心，便不会执着于棋局得失。
行事刚直不阿，常会遭遇突兀的阻碍；
人们在钱财往来上，最看重的是真挚的知交。
后车若能领悟前车倾覆的教训，
又何须将劝诫之言刻成座右铭碑呢？

To know the moment and adapt lies in guarding against peril.
Fortune and misfortune have their measure, as Zeng Shen discerned the Changes;
Victory and defeat hold no mind, one should not cling to the chessboard.
In matters of rectitude, many a bone stands out;
Among people concerning wealth, true friendship is highly valued.
If the carriage behind can grasp why the one ahead overturned,
What need is there for admonitions carved on a tablet by the seat?
