在草庐中梦醒，旧日南阳的时光重现，
万般世事都已心灰意冷，只付之一笑。
用石泉漱口，消除酒后的干渴，
手搓草药，染得衣衫清香缭绕。
菊花在夜里显得洁白，是因为增添了月光，
柿叶在秋天变得红艳，并非寒霜所造。
如今这高雅的时代，已无人来探讨学问，
只有天风不时吹过，让琴床发出声响飘渺。

Awake from dreams in my thatched hut, the old southern sun returns,
All worldly cares turn to ashes, laughed away in one brief spree.
I rinse my teeth with spring water to quench the lingering thirst of wine,
And rub my hands with herbs, their fragrance staining my clothes free.
Chrysanthemums gleam white at night, brightened by the added moonlight,
Persimmon leaves blush red in autumn, not by frost's chill decree.
The noble elegance of old finds no one to ask of words today,
Only the celestial wind at times strums the zither bed for me.
