居住时遇到坎坷，离去便乘着流水，
万里西南之行更加令人疲倦。
归隐的小径还未建成，回乡的计划已晚，
一杯酒依然令人欣喜，是老友相投。
短篇偶然寄托在诗筒中寄去，
佳句还要劳烦驿使酬答。
得以与诸位贤士再次唱和，
所以这盛事应当传遍西州。

Dwelling, I meet the pit; leaving, I ride the flowing tide,
Ten thousand li southwest, more weary from the journey wide.
My three paths not yet made, plans to return come late;
A cup of wine still pleases, offered by an old friend dear.
A short piece sent by chance within a poem tube goes forth,
Fine lines in return require a courier's worth.
To join with all you worthies in this call-and-response play,
Thus should our splendid deeds be spread through Western lands away.
