在尘世的劳碌中沉没，年老却更加顽固，
走遍了岷山与峨眉山间缥缈的云雾。
筋力已经疲惫，难以报效国家，
田园已有计划，便要归隐山中。
哪里料到这世俗的车驾会长时间外出，
却得到浮生中几日的清闲。
已经请求持旌旗前往江海之地，
所以应当活着进入玉门关。

Toiling in worldly dust, I age yet grow more stubborn,
Roaming through misty peaks of Min and E, vast and dim.
My strength is spent, hard to serve the state with any honor;
My fields and garden planned, I'll soon return to the hills.
Who'd expect this vulgar carriage to venture out for so long?
Yet it grants these fleeting days of idle, floating life.
I've asked for a banner to the rivers and seas afar,
Thus I should, while living, pass through Jade Gate once again.
