寂静的庭院里，三更时分下着雨，
楼台上掠过一丝微风。
新的诗篇在愁苦与憾恨中写成，
在梦魂里，我回到了故国之中。
他乡的节令风物是如此不同，
但我们这一辈人的交情却依然相通。
眼前尽是些令人惊怪的世事，
我只能咄咄叹息，徒然在空中书写。

In the quiet courtyard, the third-watch rain falls,
A breath of wind touches the tower and halls.
New verses are born amidst sorrow and regret,
In dreams, my soul to the old homeland is set.
The seasonal sights in this foreign land are strange,
But the bonds of friendship among our kind never change.
So many bewildering things now meet the eye,
I can but sigh and write 'empty' against the sky.
