吕梁山高达三十仞，
悬垂的瀑布无人知晓其源头。
雨停后，山色如被滋润般丰沃，
狂涛拍岸，堤岸仿佛将要倾翻。
黄云低压着古老的关塞，
青草如织，铺满辽阔的原野。
最是牵动情怀的地方，
是秋霜中彻夜哀鸣的猿声。

Thirty fathoms high towers Mount Lüliang,
The source of its hanging stream none can tell.
After rain, the hills look richly nourished;
Against mad waves the banks seem about to swell.
Yellow clouds press upon the ancient fortress;
Green grass weaves across the level plain.
What stirs the heart most of all,
Is the gibbon's cry in autumn frost all night long.
