隋朝大军震动大地，兵临城下，
陈后主却依然沉溺于安逸享乐。
要知道这天下有时竟如此狭小局促，
还不如那井中来得宽阔可以藏躲。
楼阁之外，刀锋相交，寒光一片惨白，
溪水旁边，鲜血流淌，染红了波澜。
最是无情那残缺的月亮，
依旧像往常一样，冷冷地照着栏杆。

The Sui troops shook the earth as they arrived,
Yet the sovereign still indulged in ease.
Know that the world can be narrow and confined,
Less spacious than the well's deep, hidden peace.
Beyond the tower, blades clashed, turning all white,
By the streamside, blood stained the waters red.
Heartless is the waning moon, pale and bright,
Still shining on the railings as it did.
