整个腊月里雨水格外多，
新年伊始也未曾放晴。
地势低洼，柱础常常湿润，
月亮西沉，忽然霜色明亮。
茅屋的炊烟还带着湿气，
秧田里积着水，正好可以耕种。
幽静的花儿和细嫩的小草，
也都随意地欣欣向荣。

The new year dawned, yet sunshine did not bless.
The lowland damp, foundation stones stay wet;
The moon descends, frost suddenly gleams bright.
Thatched cottage smoke still holds the moisture's trace;
Rice seedling fields hold water, fit to plough.
Secluded flowers and tender blades of grass—
At their own will, they thrive and flourish now.
