这里是大禹当年南巡的地方，
我登临此地，不禁感慨万千。
他简朴的宫殿如今已建成寺庙，
还有谁记得那因他节俭而得名（菲饮）的泉水呢？
我知道古老的道统难以恢复，
世人的传言确实多有谬误。
它们不随世俗风气而改变，
唯有旧日的山河依然如故。

Where the Great Yu once toured the southern land,
I climb the height and sigh with deep dismay.
His humble palace now a temple stands,
Who names the spring from which he drank in thrift's way?
The ancient path, I know, is hard to restore;
The common tale of men is but a lore.
Unchanged by fashion's tide that ebbs and flows,
Only the old hills and rivers still repose.
