（您）垂着冕旒，穿着彩绘的衮服和云纹绣裳，
天子择定吉日，开启明光殿（举行殿试）。
亲临殿前策试士人，必定亲自审阅，
宏大的文章独自高高超越于翰墨场。
京城的人们争相观看状元出炉，
四通八达的道路上，车马何等辉煌明亮。
尊贵的名声一日之间震动天地，
如同破壳的卵插上翅膀，化作飞翔的鸾凤。
在殿前螭头（的位置）进献奏章，接近日月（天子），
都说您是具有远大器识的人才，应当位列朝堂。
持有麟符虎节（的您）从云霄汉阙降临，
一对旌旗忽然在南斗星旁展开飘扬。
朝廷已经知晓弱翁（指王宣子）的治绩，
即将受到重用，回到庙堂廊庑（中央）。
我这江边的野老，病体刚刚好转，
才想着要拄着拐杖，去窥探（您）门墙（以求一见）。

With dangling tassels, painted robe, and cloud-embroidered gown,
The Son of Heaven chooses a day to open the Hall of Light.
Before the palace hall, examining scholars, he must personally look down;
Grand essays alone soar high in the realm of brush and ink's might.
The capital's folk vie to see the top graduate appear,
How resplendent the carriages and horses on the nine avenues here!
A noble name in one day shakes heaven and earth with cheer,
Like a cracked egg growing wings, a phoenix taking flight, clear.
At the dragon-head, presenting memorials, nearing the sun and moon's sphere,
They say you, with far-reaching talent, belong in the temple hall, dear.
The unicorn tally and tiger tally descend from the celestial sphere,
A pair of banners suddenly unfurl beside the Southern Dipper, near.
The court already knows of Weak Weng's governance, it's clear,
Soon you'll be greatly employed, returning to the lofty corridor, without fear.
By the river, an old rustic, just recovered from illness, here
Begins to wish, leaning on his staff, to glimpse your gate and fence, sincere.
