Tao Yuanming's old retreat was named 'Dwelling in Truth',
Within it dwells a leisurely Daoist, a man of truth.
Mount Lu is but a footstep away, yet my feet do not reach it,
Opening the window, I plant bamboo, pure and fresh.
I have stayed in these mountains for more than three nights,
As if destined to be familiar with this Daoist.
If imperial grace permits my return to my homeland,
I shall wipe my eyes and come again to see these tall bamboos.
