与我的蜗居分别已有三年，
在夔门度过了两个除夕。
盆中虽然备有菜肴饭食，
驱傩的仪式却不是家乡的风俗。
马槽边的马儿嘶鸣，新的聚会喧闹，
旧的桃符被新的对联换掉。
我哪里比得上那位老杜陵（杜甫）呢，
他能守着岁夜，与侄子阿咸相伴而居。

At Kuimen, two New Year's Eves have passed.
Though the pot holds dishes, a meager load,
The exorcism rites feel alien, not like home at last.
Stabled horses neigh, a new gathering's sound,

How can I compare to the old poet Du Fu,
Who kept the vigil with his nephew, steadfast and true?
