毛发蓬松的晚春树木，
上下聚集着百种虫子。
不是嘴巴像蝎子般毒，
就是尾巴像蜂刺般利。
假设这两种情况都不然，
也只是白白生存没有用处。
清冷的树荫下不可居住，
岁末时节还有秋风来临。

Shaggy trees in late spring stand,
Above and below, a hundred insects gather.
If not with a sting like a scorpion's brand,
Then with a tail like a bee, they'd rather.
If neither of these they possess,
Their life is useless, I confess.
Their cool shade is no place to dwell,
As year ends, the autumn wind will tell.
