寒冷的阴云凄惨地低垂四方，
万千景象都笼罩在浩瀚的悲凉之中。
明亮的太阳无法看见，
青天自己招来了这般的欺瞒。
傍晚的烟霭抢先带来了夜色，
留宿的雨水借助了寒威的力量。
泥泞的污浊不要沾染了纯洁，
西风终会有吹散阴霾的时候。

All scenes dissolve in grief, a boundless sigh.
The sun's bright face is nowhere to be seen,
The azure sky itself has played the mean.
Evening mists steal the night before its hour,
The lodging rain borrows cold's bitter power.
Do not let mire and sludge your purity stain,
The west wind will, in time, blow clear again.
